The section of slewing cranes for stores handling is splitted into two main groups; the cranes with manually driven slewing features and the cranes with hydraulically driven slewing features.

The group name of Cm(e)s.-type slewing cranes represent the executions of manually or electric slewing cranes with many functions: handling of stores, work boats and gangways.

The group name of Chs.-type hydraulic slewing cranes represents the executions of slewing cranes for many functions: handling of stores, hoses and workboats. The systems are in full accordance with the present rules of Lloyd's Register of Shipping and of Germanischer Lloyd. Other certification upon request.

Each system consists of:

• pedestal suitable for welding to deck
• Cm(e)s. only: column with manually/electric slewing gear
• Chs. only: column with integrated power unit, hydraulically driven slewing gear(s) and operation/maintenance platform
• arm in box shape construction
• Cm(e)s. only: stores handling winch with electric motor
• Chs. only: stores handling winch with multi-disc brake and hydraulic motor
• Chs. only: hydraulic system with pumps, control and relief valves, cylinder with Chromium-plated stainless steel rod, hydraulic motor and return-line filter
• electric system with stainless steel starter box with push buttons
• wire rope in galvanized (anti-corrosion) non-rotating steel
• suspension according to the latest DIN-Norm

additionally for rescue boat and/or liferaft handling features (only Chs.):

• stored power system with accumulator and pressure control system
• winch for rescue boat and/or liferaft handling
• wire rope in galvanized (anti-corrosion) non-rotating steel
• suspension for rescue boat and/or liferaft
• remote control of the stop-go type
• jockey pulley for retrieving of the empty hook

additionally for cranes with an electrically driven slewing gear:

• right angle gear unit with electrical motor

options (Chs. only):

• electric proportional remote control as cable or radio control
• explosion proof execution
• extra power unit for life saving functions connected to emergency circuit
• flood light on arm connected to the ship's emergency circuit

options (Cm(e)s. only):

• topping execution via hydraulic cylinder
• hydraulic winch / slewing gear
• explosion proof execution
• flood light on arm connected to the ship's emergency circuit
