This section consists all information's about special davits develloped for the oil & gas offshore market. The main types of this group are the Rsp.O. and the Gsp.O. davit systems

The group name of Gsp.O-type davits represents the offshore cantilever group of davit systems for life- and rescue boats with a two-point lifting function; davits in fixed position. The systems are designed in a component-fashion, allowing transportation to any site in containers, where they can be easily assembled. The systems are in full accordance with the present SOLAS-rules and are MED-certified.

The group name of Rsp.O-type davits represents the offshore cantilever group of davit systems for rescue boats with a single point lifting function; davits in fixed position. Eventhough highly standardised, the Rsp.O systems are available upon request only. The systems are designed in a component-fashion, allowing transportation to any site in containers, where they can be easily assembled. The systems are in full accordance with the present SOLAS-rules and are MED-certified.

Each Gsp.O./Rsp.O. Life-(/rescue-) boat davit system consists of:

• Gsp.O.only: lower arms in box-shape construction suitable for welding to deck and adapted to the deck situation
• Gsp.O.only: upper arms in box shape construction. One arm is executed for assembly of the winch on top or on side
• Gsp.O.only: intermediate frame, for adjusting the boat dimensions
• Rsp.O. only: arm in box shape construction suitable for welding to deck and for assembly of the winch
• lifeboat (or rescue boat) winch with centrifugal brake and electric motor in IP 56
• electric system with starter box for under-deck and push button box for on-deck installation
• wire rope in galvanized (anti-corrosion) non-rotating steel
• galvanized suspensions with lower blocks, chains and links
• remote control of the stop-go type
• lashing gear with polyester belts and stainless steel ratchets maintenance slings

options:

• special execution for integrating with an overhanging deck (helicopter platform)
• electric system with stainless starter box with push buttons in on-deck execution
• explosion proof electric motor and electric system
• embarkation platform between davits with access ladder
